Let’s Bless Our Children

By September 12, 2019No Comments

This past summer was filled with many transitions in our household. Moving rooms in our house, moving jobs, and moving out any lingering baby supplies filled my days. As I went through the many boxes and closets, I found myself reflecting upon memories that made me smile and sometimes even tear up.

I found the note of a former student. She wrote of our classroom family and how much she loved our time together.

I found baby clothes that reminded me of how much my children have grown in just a few short years.

I even found mementos from college and my first apartment that reminded me of my dear family who helped me set everything up and my new friends who became such a treasure as I left home for the first time.

These things I found would be of little value to anyone else, but to me they brought back joyful memories of the wonderful people in my life. I am so thankful Jesus blesses us with family and friends!

As I close doors and open some new, I look forward to seeing new relationships form. My prayer is that united as a church family, we can bless our children so that years from now they will look back at the wonderful relationships formed here and praise Jesus!
