Southside Church values serving our community. We just wanted to take this time to highlight a family that really exemplifies what having a servant heart is all about. Bryan and Kara Rodriguez have been partners with Southside for 8 years. They have two sons: Ben and Luca. Prior to working with Southside, Kara worked in refugee resettlement here in Fort Worth. Bryan worked with the church in Costa Rica. They have a really interesting story about how they met. I would encourage you to ask them about it next time you see them. Kara enjoys cooking new and exciting dishes and spending time reading a good book. She is currently reading “The Gift of Being Yourself” by David Benner. Bryan is an avid soccer fan and plays soccer for recreation and competition as well. He also enjoys working on his car.
Bryan and Kara are involved in many ways here at Southside and in our community. Bryan heads up and organizes our school store that blesses so many families and kids in our community. He actively works with our Spanish Ministry translating for our Spanish speaking friends and families. Both Kara and Bryan volunteer with our Children’s Ministry. Kara has been mentoring with Academy 4 for years before she took on the role of Site Coordinator for De Zavala Elementary. She loves pouring into our community by providing positive relationships between our Southside partners and our De Zavala 4th graders. We hope you can see just how much of a blessing Kara and Bryan are to Southside church. We want to show our appreciation and love for them as they continue to serve our community.
