In his book, Knowing Scripture, R. C. Sproul writes about the “sensuous Christians.” Sproul doesn’t mean that in the usual physical sense of the word. He defines that term as the domination of the Christian life by the intangibles of feelings. “Many of us,” he writes, “have become sensuous Christians, living by our feelings, rather than through our understanding of the Word of God. Sensuous Christians cannot be moved to service, prayer, or study unless they ‘feel like it.’”
Thank you for loving, serving, giving, and ministering, even when you “don’t feel like it!”
