Our College Ministry Vision

Engage Campus. Encourage Others. Encounter God.

We strive to be a welcoming, caring ministry that fosters a Godly community in which students can be connected to Christ's church and grow in spirit.

Our vision is one of students who are actively bringing the gospel to their schools. We want to see students engaged on campus and encouraging their friends by helping to connect them to the church. To fulfill this vision, students must be made into disciples of Christ, and we work to provide them with the tools to do this, equipping them to be the hands and feet of Jesus on campus, and making them into God's missionaries wherever they find themselves in life.

Finding a church while in college can be scary, because nothing feels quite like home. Southside's college ministry aims to give you that "at-home" feeling that is often hard to find, and we want to create an environment where students can make friends, have fun, and develop spiritually. Our times together are meant to create spaces where students can encounter God through study, discussion, and practice.

Ultimately, we want to make the world a better place by living selflessly, loving patiently, and learning diligently. Our mission is to live for something greater than ourselves by demonstrating God's love to a broken campus, community, and world. God is at work on campus, and He calls us to be part of it.

Engage Campus. Encourage Others. Encounter God.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
